New release - Enemy on Their Tracks

Enemy On Their Tracks comprises a curated collection of primary source materials including official and personal letters, newspaper articles, and Native Police reports that follow the spread of British pastoral colonialism through Central Queensland from 1855 to 1870.
The evidence of bloody warfare, murder, and dispersal of First Nations Peoples collected here includes the touchstone event of the Cullin-la-Ringo massacre in 1861 which was the largest loss of European life in a single incident in the Australian Frontier Wars.
As horrific as this event was it pales in the light of the subsequent brutal reprisal murders of First Nations Peoples which historians estimate extinguished up to 370 lives.

It is a signal honour for Coorooman Press to publish this book. Within its pages Mark Avery has curated a series of primary sources collected from the period 1855 - 70, documents that attest to the grave and undeniable truths of frontier violence and its causes throughout the entire Fitzroy River basin in Central Queensland.
These sources bear witness to those who fought and died in the 'collisions' between First Nations and European Peoples. It is a solemn privilege for Coorooman Press to present this truth-telling to you.
Our newest 20 page photographic pamphlet.

Keppel Bay was named by Captain James Cook. Lined by picturesque beaches, mountains, and rainforest the bay offers a truly unique experience of bush and beach for visitors and residents.
Yeppoon is the largest town on the coast of Keppel Bay and a stepping off point for exploration of the local islands, most notably Woppa, or Great Keppel Island. With a name possibly derived from the language of the local Darumbal people, Yeppoon has been the go to social destination for many families and travellers over the years, who have come to enjoy the beautiful weather and safe beaches.
In this booklet Coorooman Press has collected historic photographs and prints of Yeppoon. These photos present life in the old town in a shock of colour that renders the past alive.

Please enjoy.
Where Do Words Go!
Written by Mark Svendsen, illustrated by Benjamin Redlich

Come on a fantastical journey through the world of words.

What are they?
How do they work?
What do they mean?
Where do they go when they are said?
Do they murmur off into space or fall to earth like dead leaves or autumn rain?
Mark Svendsen and Ben Redlich have created a whimsical picture book bursting with energy and the joy of connecting words with art.

Clearly written, great photos, comprehensive, balanced, well referenced etc. Congratulations!
The quality of the production is exceptional -the paper quality, the layout, the vignettes, the number of photos, appendices, references etc.
